The School

RS Fashion and Talent is a school of higher professional education specializing in pattern making and tailoring. Thanks to its innovative approach in fashion education, it is the only fashion school in Italy that transfers the art of tailoring. Founded in 2017 by dr. ssa Rosa Sblano, a seamstress and patternmaker with a 30-year career in the industry, creator and patentee of technical manuals and the Rosa Sblano tailoring team, the school offers a wide range of courses in its Bari and Rome locations, including one-year academic fashion designer and patternmaker courses, semester-long masters courses in women's theatrical, lingerie/sea and bridal wear, intensive courses and short courses in basic, intermediate and advanced patternmaking and tailoring, for which it issues certificates of qualification.

All courses are distinguished by an innovative approach in which didactic teachings are virtuously reconciled with workshops, enabling students to enter the heart of the profession from the very first lessons, providing knowledge, skills and abilities useful for immediate employment in the main areas of fashion: from the artisan workshop to small and medium-sized enterprises, and large-scale industry.

The method

RS Fashion and Talent boasts a unique teaching system, with the design method developed by director Rosa Sblano at its core. Innovative and extremely practical, the method allows for maximum precision in the design and creation of the garment. Accompanied by manuals and the Rosa Sblano Tailoring Squad - a patented tool that allows for the rapid execution of paper patterns, without unraveling - it is designed to respond effectively to the needs and changes of today's market, both in the industrial and artisan spheres.

Rosa Sblano

Director and founder of RS Fashion and Talent, Rosa Sblano has been a qualified professional seamstress since 1988 and a doctor of business legal services. Guided by the intent to best respond to the economic and productive demands of the Italian fashion industry, she has made sartorial experimentation her credo, to the point of devising and then patenting in 2017 her method and the Rosa Sblano Sartorial Team, a tool designed to "make the user free to unleash their creativity with the utmost simplicity," as she herself is wont to explain.

Rosa Sblano teaches and personally supervises each student, ensuring tailored training and optimal learning.
