Inspired by the Slow Fashion model and combining styling with the practice of upcycling with a recovery and recycling mission, ReStyled by G was born as a brand that mixes tailoring and streetwear.
Embracing the punk approach to fashion, the story of ReStyled by G begins with customizations on vintage denim garments created by hand, using high quality Italian fabrics mostly end of the series but also selecting scraps and small scraps.
Then we can see the integration of upcycled designs as accessories, bags and the first tailored garments, that now represent the main focus of the brand.
The project generally involves the recovery of garments and fabrics making sure that any surplus of internal production is not thrown away but stored in order to then produce capsules made only with them. Everything is made according to the upcycling technique.
Great emphasis is given to the custom garments that allow the brand to work on the individual customer thus controlling the quantities of fabric and materials, limiting stocks and unsold, maintaining a high level of uniqueness.
Symbols of recovery are hair accessories, made for 90% of proposals with leftover production or fabrics recovered from tailoring waste.
Added value of the brand is Re-Giving, the project to collect donations of second-hand clothing and fabrics, which allows ReStyled by G to create an archive of recovered materials. The aim of the project is to create a small circular economy model allowing the brand to drastically reduce the use of new materials in the production phase.
