My name is Giulia Casci, and I am a fashion photographer born in Florence.
My passion for visual art led me to move to Rome, where the unmistakable charm of the capital and my love for cinema fueled my creativity. Photography, for me, is much more than just a snapshot: it’s a journey that tells stories, emotions, and hidden nuances. My main inspiration is Corinne Day, a photographer who managed to transform fashion photography into something extraordinarily intimate and personal. With her bold and direct approach, she created images that go beyond the surface of glossy beauty, capturing the vulnerability and authenticity of her subjects in a way that few others have. What fascinates me most about Corinne Day’s work is her ability to capture moments of pure spontaneity, where the subject is never forced or overly perfect, but real, authentic, and sometimes even imperfect. Her photography isn’t just a visual aesthetic but a narrative that speaks of emotions, lived experiences, and a raw beauty that comes from being imperfect. Her images were not just photographs of models, but life stories—snapshots that captured the essence of who they truly were, without filters or artifice.
I feel deeply connected to this spirit of honesty and spontaneity, which is why my photography comes to life through this philosophy, trying to convey the same emotional power she transmitted to me through her work.
My works have been published in several independent magazines, including Cake Magazine, Kaltblut Magazine, etc. Currently, I am also working on personal projects, editorials, and collaborations with emerging talents.
