Moda libera | Tuesday 13 May | 18:00-20:30 @ Rome Fashion Path
Free fashion

Free fashion: who wears it, who makes it, who dreams it, who changes it.

Freedom is a dress that not everyone can afford. Those who sew it are often not free. Those who collect the raw material, neither. And yet, fashion itself – the most intimate, personal, authentic one – could be one of the most powerful tools of liberation.

Freedom in fashion has two faces:

* on the one hand, the invisible chains of a system that exploits in the name of profit and speed;

* on the other, the dream of a fashion model that liberates, that welcomes every body, that does not impose standards but builds new narratives together.

What does it really mean to be free?

* free to create,

* free to choose,

* free to be represented,

* free to imagine another way of dressing… and living.

Arianna De Biasi and Barbara Annunziata will be in dialogue with the journalist Fabrizia Ferrazzoli on the hidden dynamics behind the fashion product, questioning the value of freedom from different perspectives.

Arianna De Biasi: sustainable fashion strategist

Barbara Annunziata: fashion architect, academic lecturer, innovator

Fabrizia Ferrazzoli: cultural journalist. She talks and writes about books, comics, music, fashion, new trends and underground worlds.
